Short post here, anybody else noticed that on high graphics theres so many particles in the air its very hard to make out the enemy while on low its all gone so aiming is easy?
Anybody else think its a bit dumb that you need to play on low graphics to have an advantage? |

HS/NV, NV, or Thermal Optics.
I think High settings is meant to just have a rich atmospheric experience versus low settings which would probably be preferred for competitive players who want to see the targets and care more about the fight then aesthetics. IMO I don't think the difference is dumb at all, It's simply player choice which is really nice just to have that choice. |

It's pretty much been the stock grade of PC games where there is a list of optimal competitive video settings. Personally I'd like to see that get thrown out of the window, but then we'd be playing a game with no video settings. No one wants that.
So to answer your question:
Should anything be done? Possibly reduce the thickness of particle effects on higher settings. |

Aye that is the issue no settings would suck cos nobody could play games with worse pcs, sadly though it really is a huge advantage to play on low settings, before cos of the stealth bug but now its still an advantage cos its just so clear and easy to see people.
Its not good that theres a choice, I would like to have the atmosphere but I also would like to know that I'm on a level playing field with people. |
