Gm events etc...

Do you think this game will have Gm events like every month or so. IMHO this would be pretty cool like "You have figured a way into the NC sanctuary" and TR and VS would have to invade it and NC would have to defend it for x minutes. Or a downed pilot situation where all 3 sides would race to capture a NPC and bring him back.

Also what happens when almost everyone is BR20? I think it would be cool if after a while they made up to BR30 so the game could keep going. Or have "soft caps" on the BR so you could keep going indefinetly but it would be very hard. They would have to add many new skills for this to work tho. Maybe in a X-Pack.

I'm sure they'll spawn a dragon somewhere, and we'll have to knife it to death. Good times. I could totaly see the EQ "Wurm" model walking around in planetside killing things.

But on a serious note, who knows? I could see like a heavy weather effect event, where incredibly hevay rain lets you see like... 10 feet away... Other things too, like an alien virus consuming a base. Iunno the virus thing sounds pretty lame but, who knows?

As for battle rank 20... realize that unlike DAoC, a level 1 can easily gun down a lvl 20 in combat. Sure it will be tougher, but the chance is very open and possible, so having level 20 just means you have all your skills, so when everyone is 20, the battle will be nice and even. Remember this game isn't about leveling, it's about killing those damn Vanu!

Gm events would be a nice touch; maybe they could have a small group of non SoE players could run them as a weekly/monthly event. Perhaps they could tell some kind of story that would be told as part of the mission. Something like this.

Vanu: a team of excavations have uncovered some alien artefacts in �Cyssor� now a team of experts must be escorted to the ruins. (you must escort a sunderer from the VS sanctuary to a heavily defended base somewhere on Cyssor)

Terran: Word has it that the Vanu have uncovered ancient Alien weaponry on Cyssor, We MUST take seize these weapons before they can use them against us! (TR must take hold of the VS base on Cyssor before the team of escorts get there)

New conglomerate: The Vanu has developed advanced weaponry they plan to use to destroy us, Intel reports that it is being moved to a remote base on Cyssor. We cannot risk this falling into the hands of the Terran, Destroy the convoy before they can garrison it or the Terran seizes it and we lose this chance. (NC troops must destroy the Vanu convey moving to Cyssor before they get to the base)

What happens is all 3 sides are occupied with each other and everyone has a clear objective that conflicts with the other 2 sides.

GM events would be cool as long as Asshats don�t ruin them like in other MMOGs people who disrupt them should be Insta perma banned and a packed of Giant Killer Fire ants sent to their house!

The possibilities for this really are endless, I remember GM events were one of my favorite parts of Asheron's Call.

yeah somethin with the reason for the wormhole colapsing and the vanu tech ect..

it would never happend but i can picture some giant monter like..killing...everything relentlusly and in order to defeat it all 3 factions have to work togehter or all of their fates are death...that would be so kickass

What I think would be so cool would be a event (or Xpack) that has the Vanu (the aliens) as a playable race, like they come back (i dunno, just guessin here) and hordes of them attack the world. That would be intresting, I just want somthing like Star Ship Troopers.
