Let me know if you notice any mistakes - I've noticed some myself, but maybe you've seen something I haven't. I always want to get better and any veteran help is welcome

My thoughts:
The intro and outro are forgettable. My favorite YouTubers use custom intros (usually with custom logos) with good audio and it really gives a good first impression. If you do not know how to make a fancy intro, try asking for help in a tech or video editing forum. If you have the money, you could probably get the best result by paying a professional to make you one. Once you have this cool intro, use it in ALL your videos (just my opinion). Wrel, for example, has an identifiable intro and I get a sense of impending awesome when I see it because he has used it so many times in other videos of his. Also, even if it is the only thing you say in the whole video, I think you should give a vocal introduction, both introducing yourself and what you will be showing in the video. Secondly, it may be worth it to purchase rights to use high quality music in your videos. I know there are sites that sell licenses to music/samples that are of high quality. The music used in your video sounded a bit amateur, kinda like it was produced on someones home laptop. I mean no offense by that, just my opinion. I have a mixing studio and I watched your video on my studio monitors (the speakers that mixing/mastering engineers use), and from my perspective the production quality of the audio didn't sound great. I think getting a right to use licensed song/loop would help a lot. With that said, I did like the content and video quality Good luck in your YouTube endeavors friend! Edit: I am a professional when it comes to audio editting, but an amateur with graphics/video. With that little disclaimer out of the way, I would be happy to make you a custom logo (I made the one in my signature). Lemme know if you are interested and Ill start working on something for you. Edit #2: I also really like how you listed your load out on screen. Last edited by BRUTALPLAYS; 2013-11-18 at 11:35 PM. |

@BrutalPlays you are absolutely right on everything. Except maybe video quality, I'm not really satisfied with video quality but I think it's mainly because of bitrate. I render videos in 8mbit bitrate because even that is large for my 1mbit upload speed and takes long to upload. The first thing I need to get is better Internet connection, I'm working on that.
I actually started uploading vids just out of momentary impulsive "let's do a video" thing. So I uploaded a vid and somehow now I have 20+ videos . I'm new to everything related to recording, editing, rendering etc, so I can't really get everything done properly right away. It's kinda turning into a mini-hobby, we'll see what comes out of it... Regarding audio, the format is 128kbit mp3, so I guess it's not enough eh? I'm still experimenting with various settings. I don't really have cash now to buy rights to music, so I'm stuck with the free stuff. Regarding talking and speech, I'm not fully confident in my talking, I have a weird accent and I don't like how it sounds. And the mic is relatively bad, it's a headset mic, good enough for gaming, but I guess I need something better if I plan on talking in videos. Last edited by croklinjo; 2013-11-21 at 02:13 AM. |
