is it just me, or does Planetside look surprisingly like Halo? I'm not complaining or anything, but just pointing out. The visors, the guns, the weapons, the armor, just sorta resemble halo stuff. what are your opinions?

if i were less lazy, i'd go get some halo screenshots, and compare them, etc. etc.

but i'm lazy.

Not too similar. The Master Chief didn't look like any of the various faction's more heavy armor types. The Marines... well, maybe a bit like NC guys in light armor. As for the guns... hrm. The Covenant's Plasma Pistol is a bit like the Vanu laser pistol too. Otherwise the weapons seem pretty different too. And the Warthog looks nothing like any of the other Jeeps, IMO. But, come to think of it, Foe Hammer is slightly reminiscant of a Galaxy.

I will say this about Halo... the lead-in book was as good as, if not better than the plot of the game. Just imagine a squad of SPARTAN II's in action. Gives me chills...

Nope, don't see it. I loved Halo (it the best single player FPS that I have played so far IMO) and wouldn't mind if Planetside ended up playing alot like Halo. However I don't really see it as being similar to Halo.

For example, most weapons in Halo didn't have a cone of fire. The ones that did have a cones of fire were not effected by things like movement. (I wouldn't mind seeing greades that stick to people in PS tho).

I think PS is going to be very different than Halo and that is not necessarily a bad thing either.

Only consal games worth playing are Twisted metal, RE games, and a few of the RPGs. And that super smash brothers game, i like being kirby, i never win, but i like kirby non the less.
