is it just me, or does it seem like every day, this forum is becoming more and more like the official ones? (more flames, trolls, and less helping those that are new, etc etc etc)

I think that we need to find a way to combat this problem, not sure how yet, but we need to think of something b4 this gets out f hand.... any ideas anyone??

*this may become a flame thread, I know, but this is meant for legitimate conversation on how to better the PSU community.

I would really like to set people striaght and answers the questions that everyone speculates on (or actually starts flaming each other over) but being in beta makes me worried that ANYTHING I say about Planetside would be breaking the NDA. So I pretty much stick to off-topic threads to avoid the temptation

Come on people. It is just a game (a great one at that) but it is senseless to argue over who heard what. The fact is unless you work on Planetside or you are in Beta, you DON'T know! Even some official information on the game could change any day without them updating the info on the website. Its the Law of Beta Testing. The game evolves, grows, and changes more in beta testing than it does at any other point in the developement of a game. Believe me I know how frustrating it is to not be able to play the game yet but, remember that everyone else here is as frustrated and eager to play the game as you are.

But this is the internet and people feel secure behind the computer in there house so trolls and flamers will persist. Unfortunately there is nothing the mature group of gamers can do about it

ANd read my reply in that thread. I want this to be a fun welcome place (which i feel it still is) but I dont want to opress everyone either. Its a tough balance, I cant ban everyone who spams. Usually after a warning or 2 or 3 things calm down.
