mines

Do mines stick to stuff, i.e vehicles etc?
Is there any chance of a remote mine being created, cause they would be a lot of fun.

Are the anti-personal landmines (boomers) going to be as efective as real landmines? For instance, if a guy and his two freinds are walking along pretty close to one another, and I blow up a boomer right under there feet, will it kill them flat out? Thanks in advance

I doubt it. There's a movie on FilePlanet (the 100+ meg one) and in the opening it shows some guy trotting across a mined bridge. He hits the mine, craps his pants, but does not die. I can't tell what kind of armor he's wearing, though. My eyesight sucks.

I'd hazard a guess that he's wearing agile armor in that scene.
Becuase, well...
He has a rifle on his back, so it isn't infiltration.
He has a helmet, and standard vanu's don't, IIRC.
He only has *one* rifle on his back, and has his hands free. Unless he didnt pick up a 2nd rifle, it means he isn't in reinforced.
He sure ain't in a MAX.
Thus, agile armor.
And it seems like he ALMOST dies from it. If you watch it, the guy who gets blasted is squad member #1, and goes from about 95 health to a completely black health bar. He likely got dealt ~90 and had 1 or 2 left.
So it won't OHK an agile, but it will bring em down to about 10 hp.
So it would likely kill a standard instantly, and do severe damage to reinforced/MAX.
I think mines are anti-vehicle more than anti-infantry, tho. The explosion/blast radius doesn't seem to wide, more of an upwards shaped charge/armor piercing thing.

Anyone have any idea if friendlies can step on ( and thus explode and die from and take damage from and give griefs points to the layer, etc. etc.) friendly mines?:o

Landmines are IFF-equipped, do not detonate in proximity of friendlies. Boomers are the anti-infantry claymore style explosives., detonated remotely. Now we just need a timed shaped charge and we're set.
