Chance to get into Beta as a non-American...?

that there is a chance to play the game
as a non-American(European, Asian, etc) before PS becomes Gold?

Me and many of my friends want to play and test the game first,
before we will buy it. We want to see whether it is worthwhile to buy the game.

The Beta apliccation form let you choose countries other than America (well at least thats what I remember) so surely that means you have some chance of getting into Beta?

Supposedly SOE did let internationals into the open beta, but the emails have already been sent for that. Most of the contests running now require you to be in North America. Since PS is a MMOG, there will be no demo. You'll have to wait for reviews and feedback.

There are just a hand full of NoN-US Betatesters, most of them are hosting or administrating PS-Community-Sites.

The Openbeta-policity of SOE is really big shit.

My hope is, that there will be a 3-5 Day - Demo of the Game, when PS gets gold.

Many MMOG offered a Demo of the Game....e.g.. E&B, Neocron and a few others.

Well, they have to do it because

A) Overseas shipping costs a crapload of money, even for something small like beta CD's

B) Also, correct me if I'm wrong on this, some U.S made CD's don't function on U.K computers, just as some U.K made CD's won't function on U.S computers

There will be a trial period before u actually have to pay for the game...

Either that or a downloadable offline demo... but my money is on the first one...

most MMO games dont come with a trial till later on if even at all, but rarely ever right as the game goes retail(look at shadowbane no trial yet)

well im very disappointed that SOE does this policy. Sure it costs money, but then they�ll have to say that beforehand, that euros are not welcome.

Since there is something like sony europe, they could�ve managed distributing it from europe, sending one big package.

Hell i even would pay all postal costs to send the cds to my clanmates if SOE send me the cds!

I live in norway and i buy games from canada, USA, england, sweden etc all the time. works like a charm
