Account Key "taken"

I tried to enter my account key for the first time to start up beta, and it is TAKEN. This sucks cause i was looking forward to this moment for a while now and it seems like ill have to wait a bit longer. I emailed sony though, maybe they will help me out.

Anyone have any idea though?

it was from the exclusive beta email. Its not like someone hacked my mail or something, it just looks like it was a mix up. This is not from being reffered either. I just wanted to get a head start on the download so i could play later tonite or tomorow, but thats not happening now.

Have you tried it with caps or with no caps? Might be case specific.... I'm just guessing though. I remember similar problems that folks had with other games concerning the CD Keys.

If that doesn't work, definitely contact SOE.

did you just now get into beta?

b/c that doesn't make much sense, seeing as how they dont send out exclusive keys anymore (not counting the "refer a friend" thing)

I just got it, and it says exclusive. Ive tried it caps, no caps, everything. I made sure the 0s (zeroes) werent o's, this is really getting me down, i guess i shouldnt get my hopes up for anything ever again.

It is real, i was told that other people have had this problem by a friend who is in beta, but i have yet to hear anything. I could really use some help seeing that i really want to play this game.

I already did. Maybe they will actually respond, but it usually takes a long time (knowing from EQ experiences) even though i directly emailed the beta people

Hmm, seems like a weird address for sony to be using. Most all of SOE's email address are [email protected]

One of my outfit mates got an exclusive email today too. I think it could have been a mixup. No one is supposed to still be getting exclusive mails. His works tho
