MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries

I wanted to know any of your opinions on this game, as I'm probably going to buy it. I played MW4:Vengeance at my friend's house, and enjoyed it, and I really like the BT Universe. I also really enjoy being a mercenary, and even suggested a merc system in PS when I first joined. Looks like a good game, and my crud comp is up to it.

I liked Mechwarrior 3 better. 4 felt too "arcady" for my tastes. And 4's limited mech customation...........

it was ok, if you like 4 its the same but a bit better, not much, but enough to make it worthwile

Earthseige 2 will always be the best mech game to me. Mechwarrior games just plain suck.

Mechwarrior games always bored the crap out of me... The best mech game I've played so far is Axis Arena: http://www.axisarena.net/

Thank God I'm not the only person who like the Earthsiege universe. Camping Carl ever play Starsiege?

Sadly no, it looked better than earthsiege 2 to me. I just never got around to buying it.

dont waist money on that game.... if you want a good 'mech game get Mechwarrior 3 or even 2. every thing that was made under the mechwarrior licence after M$ bought them out sucks major ass. trust me

Yes! another axis fan! good game, even if its only played alot by Koreans. Least, ever server I ever try to join is all koreans with the one-shot kill mode running.

I've DLed the demo, and I've come to the sad conclusion that...it kicks ass. I enjoy this game, a lot, even though the demo sucks really hard due to extreme limitations, the gameplay is really cool. The demo never drops new market items, has 2 missions, doesn't let you go through training, or use instant action, only lets you beat the single available arena 3 times, and gives you 5 mechs to edit in the Mech Lab.
It looks really cool though, I'm definitely buying.

I use the korean servers to train... If you can beat a korean on axis you got some skill... And it will help your aim in every other FPS.

BTW, what was your name in Axis? I went by a few: Aero, Eclipse, Eclipse X, Eclipse Zero, and Trigger.
