Personally I think the idea of a large-scale sea based capital ship would be interesting. It could have all the equipment of a small base (i.e. spawn tubes, turrets, weapon storage, etc...) it would make an excellent platform for mounting an assault on a locked continent and could store vehicles in the hull and then let them disembark when they made land. I'd probably have it capturable instead of just letting players jack it at will. If done right I think it would be an excellent addition.

They could have Water surface bases and Underwater bases. Would add to small subs, scuba gear, big boats, small speed boats, depth charges, water mines, and maybe a boat that can submerse itself with a large cost of speed. Just some of the things I imagine Naval Warfare. Kinda the opposite of land as the flying would be diving instead.

Unless someone resurect the lost art of swimming. Evediently 1000 years into the futere, people will just sink to the bottom if submerged in water. Not looking forward to that.

because you're carrying weapons and have armor on... i guess the real question is why can't you drop weapons or take off armor? probably the same reason you can't shave or have a break-dancing contest... plausability or laziness.. whatever
