Sorry if this is common knowledge to the rest of the world, but I'm going to ask anyway.
How is jumping being handled?? Nothing annoys me more than playing a game of sof2 and some fool comes bounding around a corner with a shotgun, just to jump up the street in a sad sad attempt not to die. I don't know about anyone else, but I can't imagine anyone in real life ever acting like a mexican jumping bean while shooting a gun. Don't bother saying that this is a game and not real life. I understand that realism is sacrificed for gameplay purposes(as it should be), but the ability to jump around like a coward only helps the guy who wants to run head long into a firefight. It in no way adds to the strategy or tactics used in such a game, so I don't see how the argument can be used that allowing people to jump around like crazy helps anything. Yes, that's all of my rant of the evening. mistled |

I asked this on the official forums earlier today, and before the thread entirely degenerated into an illiterate flame war about going prone, I was told the same thing Hamma said, except supposedly draining your stamina too much will reduce your running speed, too.

The problem is that it only gets on my nerves. It doesn't save the guy from my mp5, it just makes me chase him around for a minute before he dies. |

lol it's sad but jumping really does work and I suggest you try it. I didn't do it before in AA but one time I got the sniper rifle ( ) and my team was slaughtered in about 2 minutes leaving me and the other sniper left. So I decided to move up and try to get another gun. However, I was attacked by 2 enemies before I could even get close to a corpse. I had a sniper which isn't much use at 5 feet so I decided to zig zag backwards while jumping. It took me about 10 shots before I managed to kill them (it's hard to aim with no crosshairs). Therefore, jumping can really help at close range (don't even try it at long range) even though it is very retarted.
