The end of All things

As beta approaches every day the quality of the posts on the forum get worse and worse, this can only mean one thing, the 4 horsemen draw near. Betapocalypse is at hand. I propose that we take measures to stop the total destruction of our beloved forum. I have a few ideas on how to stop the betapocalypse before it devours us all:

1) Sigbot should be reprogrammed and renamed �Teh Beta Bot� Any and all posts with the word �Beta� �open beta� �Someone Haxx0red us The beta!?� shall be cast into the un-openable box until we can find a cure.

2) Our fearless leaders Hamma and marsman shall sacrifice themselves to the masses of unruly members in order to cleanse this land. Your sacrifice shall not be in vein, while the masses of unruly members are savagely devouring your bodies in search for beta info the rest of us shall slip away, into the cold night, where we might wait for morning and start anew.

3) We craft a nightmarish land of fire and death, a place of never ending torture and angst. A world where tomorrow never comes and every day lasts an eternity. This is a place where you can never be satisfied You Always need more� but there is never enough to go around. Paranoia claws at you until there is nothing left. If we craft long and hard into the night, we will create a paradise for all those who seek �Teh Beta�. They will be drawn to this hellish land like moths to a flame�then we shall be saved

4) We build an Ark, an ark big enough to hold everyone sane enough to see their impending doom. The faithful shall board this bless�ed ark and sale off in search of a new place to call home. The non believers shall be washed away by the tides of deadly Beta testers who seek nothing more than to keep beta for themselves.

5) We fight! As the Warriors of Ragnarok gather on the battlefield, we will hold the last stand against the Minions of Beta. Our numbers may be few but we must hold the line for the sake of all who do not now of their impending fate.

6) If all else fails and we are pushed back into the depths of the forums we should create a new home for ourselves and disguise it well. Taint it to those who seek beta so they might never come looking for us beyond its door, this new place shall be called
�Click here to remove yourself from beta!�
If that doesn�t ward them off then nothing will.

I leave these plans in your hands, but act swiftly.
The long night will be apon us -soon-

btw, as far as these forums and the quality of posts are concerned. It's a double-edged sword. First off, the game is drawing closer to release, more and more people are being turned on to the game. Thus creating more forum users and posters. I myself as a moderator have almost always taken a laid back approach to moderating. I want people to be able to voice their opinions without fear of being moderated or banned. Then again, I want to keep the idiots out of here. It's hard to keep that balance with the forums expanding so quickly. These forums will go through many changes in the next several months, no matter which route I decide to take someone, will be upset. So these forums will be moderated in a way I feel allows people to speak their mind. I can't remove people's posts for being "low quality" in some peoples mind. Because that post may in fact be an intelligent post to other users.

Hehe sorry man, I should have worded the first part beta.. erm better *twitch*. You do a fine job of modding, most of the stuff I post should be taken with toung firmly placed in cheak.
The story behind this post is. I got C&C generals last sunday and it has kept me busy for most of the week. On Sunday -most- of the threads on the board had the word beta in them or had something to do with the beta. I checked back a later in the week the state of the board hadnt changed much. Theres only so many times I can read the word "Beta" before it starts to lose meaning and sounds funny out loud (try it say beta for the next 15 mins :P)
