You can loot other sides weapons from the coffins they leave. I was using a cycler as an NC last night, pretty nice gun. You can also throw them in your locker to save for later use, such as looted phoenixes, etc. of course thats assuming you the correct cert to use it.

so you can't loot AND USE empire specific weapons if they aren't your empires weapons? pretty dumb, takes away the big advantage of looting

I think u missed the idea. Lets say i was NC and i ran out of Phnx. OUta no were a TR with a striker appears and i blow his head off. Now i grab his Striker. He also has a Mini Chain gun - but i dont have the cert to use the tri barrel shot gun so i cant use that mini gun.

no i seriously know what he means; the thing i wanna know is if you can use EMPIRE-SPECIFIC guns if you have the cert of your sides gun, and there goes the big id of looting!

Yes you can. He said that. You didn't understand.

If you are TR and have Medium Assult trained, then you can use NC and VN weapons that are equivilent to the TR's medium assult cert. Since you start off trained to use pistols in the game. You can use any empire's pistol.

You can loot anything. You can only use them if you have the cert to use that type-class of the weapon. IE Pistol, Anti Air, Anti Vehicular.

i didn't knew NC had a 3-barrel shotgun... isn't it called jackhammer? or is that something else... lol i'm not really taking care about my knowledge of weapons, since they won't be SO important in the beginning of the game...

OK, look. If you kill an opponent, you can raid his corpse for guns, ammo, and supplies. If you have the proper certification AND inventory\weapon slot space, you can use it right off the bat. It is advisable, though, to keep stolen goods in your locker, because if you get killed in turn, those weapons could once again be looted.

I jus wanna steal the Heavy Weapons from each Empire and kick serious ass! How many heavy weapons can you hold on your person in Reinforced Armour, coz I wanna be able to Minigun from afar and jackhammer up close & personal

Hmmm... can you drop items from your inventory... to say disperse weaopons to other squad members or slowly start an illegal underground vanu weapons trade....

Haha, thinking of starting a black market? Yeah I think thats possible. I know you can click to destroy things in your inventory, at least I believe so, I could be wrong but I doubt it.
