Haven't played it yet, but I think that's what I will give it after playing. I'll get this game today and I'll post a new message in a couple of days with a new score.

I'm going to give it a 9 as opposed to a 10 only because there are still a few bugs to be worked out. I think the game is a great one; infact, I'd rate it higher than EQ. The gameply, design, and concept is amazing and I congratulate the dev team on it.
However; there are things about the game that need to be worked on. Right now there is a large crash bug which I'm sure is being fixed as I type this, but there are also a few other minor things that could be added/removed to make gameply more exciting. Of course, with any game anyone plays, everyone will have their own opinion. What I want in/out may not be what the devs want, and I just have to live with that. My .02 cents... (haha this turned into a thread where I inadvertantly took out my anger at all the whiners on the official forums.. go me )

9, would be 10, but still crash from time to time, and there is still a lack of deabth in some areas (those problems should go away with time though)
So, my guess in about 4 months it will be a 10, for now, its just a 9

I'd give it an 8. Like a friend of mine pointed out, it's got a few problems with things like base variety and reasons for fighting far from bases (my squad went on an AMS chase earlier today, it was COOL ^_^ ) and we've got the CTD issues... but the basic gameplay is good stuff. I'll be playing for a while yet, I bet.

on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 implies perfection which no game willl ever reach in suplicity, elegance design stability, and replay value.

A more accurate representation of what I think would be 'why don't they'...
give incentive to defend reward people to fight together give incentive to fight outside of bases reduce COF make grenades kill people change design of bases ...essentially what everyone is asking about. |

You have to give the devs some time. They hear all the requests, which some have bugs built into them(for instance if nade's kileld people the punisher would own everyone), but they are doing other things as well. For instance, this "lock up" issue: im sure the devs are owrkign on this as wetalk(err...type ).
Jut give the devs some time to work, they can only do so much at once. |
