w00h! Got my new hardware!

Well, I got my new hardware! If you didn't already know, I'm an hardware geek. I have to have the newest stuff and then have to overclock the living hell out of it. Anyways, I got an P4 2.4c 800FSB(They actually overclock the highest and the best) With an shiny new Abit IS7-6 mobo. And, finally I got me some Logitech Z-680(500watts! Kick ass! Better then Kliphsc 5.1's). Anyways, I am going to install my new hardware when I get back from Chicago. I will be posting my computer mod in the forums in the next couple of weeks probally. Starting a brand new one. So, who else is upgrading?!

P.S. Those P4 2.4c, you can get the FSB up to 1.2ghz with it running stable. /me faints

I know you can prolly get a 300 mhz boost to the fsb. But 400+ your prolly pushing into water cooling area. It really sux Intel still locks their multiplier. Gluck in oc'ing and post your 3dmark's when your done.

Same here

Almost finished my upgrades, just waiting to deceide on what vid card to replace my Ti 4600 with. The FX 5900 seems to be the fastest at the moment but is a monster of a card that takes up 2 slots and is said to be noisy as fuck.

The ATI 9800 pro is almost as quick, takes up one slot and is very quite. The cons for ATI is that their drivers have a really crap rep.

Think Ill wait another month and see how newer drivers and other reviews seperate the 2 cards.

I will admit that the 5900 is louder then ATI cards but it out performs it alot so it's worth it.

Yep My FX5900 Ultra on my Alienware pc is louder than my previous radeon card. I don't know if it's the new pc making the noise or if it's the card.. But since you said it's the card.. I CONCUR!

Well, it is offical! The 5900 Ultra 256mb DOES beat the 9800 Pro 256mb by a long shot. Nvidia is back in the game.
