Depends. I like RPG's like Diablo 2, Neverwinter Nights, Final Fantasy and Morrowind, but I also like Round Based Strategy games like the first 3 X-Com games. I like some FPS games, but only for a while. I usually get good at them, then get bored of them. Not so with Diablo 2. I can always play that game.

DIablo 2 is not an rpg, it is an actioon game with rpg elements, in diablo all there is, is leveling up and towns and stuff, really all its is is following a set path and killing watever comes your way, there is no alternate path, no other quests u can do for someone, its just watever the 6 or 3 quests for each act are

Favorite genre is rather hard fo me to classify as I can find games in any genre that I love and ones that I loathe.
Overally RPG has probably been my most played Genre but by far space sim with character building aspects like Privateer/Privateer 2, Tachyon: The Fringe or Freelancer for example have been my favorite games. Others on the list of my favorite games would be things like the Fallout series, the GTA series, most of the FF games, The entire X-Wing series of games, Deus Ex, X-com series..bleh I could go on all day Does anyone remember that FPS Shogo? It had levels where you piloted an anime style giant robot that was much like a Gundam or a mobile suit from Blue Gender and other levels where you were on foot and fought like a standard FPS that was almost as deadly as CS as far as how many hits you could take. I always wanted to play that game more. I had the demo back in the day but never found it retail.

I like any game with a lot of customization and choices. I'm a big fan of Mech games with lots of customization choices. Phantom Crash and Armored Core come to mind. I like some RTS games. I love Starcraft. Big action/adventure fan too.
SOME FPS games are really good. Most blow hardcore.

FPSes first
Flight Simulators second (currently on IL-2: FB) 3rd person shooters (mainly because there aren't many) The rest can go to hell.

The gun katas. Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly. |
