even on LOW settings, i chop on p4 2.6!!

really bad chop, on lowest settings
running:

p4 2.6
1gb ram
ati saphire 7000 64mb <- i know it sux

still should be able to do something better than LOW for my settings.
looking at my system specs while the game is runnings, it's using 97~99% of my cpu!!
only using about 300mb ram tho
any suggestions? ran virus scans, ad-aware, didn't defrag, but the hdd barely lights up during play.
also crashes a lot in heavy combat areas, almost always

Pyro Man is correct. You need at least a Radeon 9500 or above for this game. Although I'm no expert on ATI cards, for the Geforce series, go with a Geforce4 Ti 4200.

Radeon 9500 is not necessary, my older comp has a 1.6 ghz P4, 768mb of SDRAM, and a Radeon 9000 pro, and it runs ps pretty good...Not as good as my new one, but still playable...

You better take out the CPU before doing that, that a nice one, if its an 800mhz FBS, unless its soldered into place like some companies do

The 9000 to 9200 Pro's w/128 are excellent cards. They are easily inline with 4200-4600's and based off r250 or similar chips so performance is as good or better than 8500's which were top of the line during GF4 day. So they weren't totally wrong, they just don't know the ati product line that great.

Now the 7000 is a real freaking pos. You really just have no idea how bad this card is until you upgrade to something decent, and then you will be like, OMFG that card sucked. I would only use the 7k for basic desktop stuff, like linux but not even xwin lol.

Currently the 9600 non-pro's can be found as little as $70, pro's in the $130 or less range. CC even has 9800 NP's for $200 = best deal around atm. But these are infineon memory, not samsung so don't OC to 9800 Pro speeds.

Picked up a ATI9600-256 over the weekend. Pulled the fins and strapped on a heatpipe. INstalled the Omega divers and OC'd that bitch over 400 Hz. She's still holding about 41C and stable as ever. In and out of massive battles last night, the card was yielding frames from 75 to 200, ran it for about 8 hours straight.

Bestbuy had the cards on sale for $70 clams.
