This thread is the official Return of The king thread. Let's try and limit it too one thread. I will start us off with a few rules.

1. Don't make other ROTK threads plz...
2. Be careful of spoilers, please make it so you have to scroll a certain distance if you wan't to include spoilers. And notify the reader of spoilers incoming.

I will start us off with the Rotten Tomatoes review. Anything above 80% on RT can be considered EXCELLENT! But 97%? That's unheard of.

Spoilers are fine. I'd just rather have 1 huge ROTK thread instead of 5,000 like the matrix. Just make sure you mask your spoilers PLZ!

saw 1 . it was ok. never saw 2. dont intend to see 3.

didnt like the books either. couldnt get past the first 1

No offense but I doubt people are going to take your opinion of the movie and books into consideration.

Spoilers? The books have been out for 50 some years, I don't think you can spoil the story unless someone hasn't read them. (And in that case, they're a dumbass and movies should be ruined for them for all eternity)

The first one was awesome, the second was awesome ^2, and the third one looks amazing.

I recommend it to anyone. this production is going to rob spielberg of his oscars this year.
