AV Maxs:New role?Any ideas?


Everybody is now talking about the AV Maxs and how they are only good for takin down other maxs. Any of you guys have any ideas how they can be more affective against vehicles.


Idea: my idea is too give them a 100+ armor boost and make them slightly more agile so they can better dodge cannon shells, also give thema lock on ability to VEHICLES only.

Turn them into walking fire control units: Unique & enhanced sensor abilities, an increase to damage on all weapons, and built-in laze pointers.

I don't know if that's necessarily the best idea, just something that I thought of.

I said a while back I'd like to see an alternate fire mode with jammer projectiles. You'd still get squashed but you'd hamper vehicles sufficiently, and might even be able to take out a large vehicle on a good run.

what about my lock on idea wouldnt that give them a very needed boost??

Add the lock on vehicle only + the jammer idea, and you got urself teh winning AV max.

Simply increase the speed of their projectiles significantly and they would be just fine.

GGY, they need much more than that. As of now, AV MAXes are more effective at taking down infatry than vehicles, and they're not good at all AI. They need a significant buff in order to stay competitive.

Lock-on missles for NC, jammer alt-fire for VS, fast projectiles for TR (think lancer w/ splash damage).

Jammer would be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO unbalancing it isn't funny. You could sit there and shoot at them, and they wouldn't be able to shoot back.

faster projectiles(falcon and Comet, the Pounders are fucking fast now) and jammer ammo would be sweet

to bad the TR AV max would have to lock down to be able to lock onto things. And when it does it will get the same ttk as the other maxs with or without their special

Using MAX units to attack vehicles is like using t-bone steaks to attack hungry dogs.

It's a design flaw. Much like anchor.

Yeah, because it's normally really hard to run MAXs over.
