a little WW2 deathcamp question

A survivor from the deathcamps in germany came to my school today and talked abit (he had survived 4years!)
Anyway he talked abit about the people in the camps about why some of em wher �ber skinny and some looked normal. well i did find out that the "normal" one was filled whit water.....
and now to the question i have:
He did say that the skinny once wher called "Ghandi" (the freedome fighter in india i belive) he also sayd they had a name for the "normal" people but he dident want to say it. Anyone know what they called em i been wondering all day =/

That type of question could not be answered by the history channel as it appears to be a "slang" term and not one that is readily answerable from traditional historic means.
