What causes NTU drain from a base? What effects it to cause it to drain faster or slower?
Theories Ive heard: Destroying the Gen drains NTU Damaging the Gen drains NTU Destroying Phalanx Turrets drains NTU Destroying any terminal drains NTU Destroying the spawn tubes drains NTU So to turn a base neutral the best thing to do would be to kill the Gen, destroy all of the turrets, and destroy every spawn tube and terminal?

people spawning and repairing equipment consumes ntus. that and just the standard cost for maintaining a functional base

If you completey destroy a gen all ntu's for the base go to repairing the gen and ignore repairing all other functions. So if you kill the gen nothing else in the base will repair till the gen is up. (Unless you repair it yourself). So whenever you are intentionally draining a base it is best to not kill the gen because it not only drains the base faster, but also keeps the enemies from noticing you're draining the base.
