Well we can say the iraqis could have survived as a nation if they had never invaded kuwait, and hadn't started this whole thing in the first place. Bottom line is that realism is boring. Repitition is also boring. Why play the same setting in 5 different games? Its just the same thing over and over.

They need to start doing shit differently. I'm sick of these WWII games. I'd like to see a modern war game, especially a MMO one, i.e. Desert combat + Planetside.

That's avoiding the war. That's completely different. By that logic, America would've won the war if Japan never attacked Pearl Harbor, but they didn't really win, did they?

There just aren't many good war situations which make good FPS's.

Well fine if you're going to keep sticking to that one point then why don't they just stop making war games. How about they just make shit up like they used to. I'd much rather play that, than another ww2 game.

Which is why almost all FPS's are categorized into two themes, WW2 and futuristic FPS's.

you dont have to like ti but I will and I know there will be plenty of others who will too. I never tire of playing GOOD games, no matter what the setting.

Wha? America only got started in WWII because of Japan. So, how the hell could we have won if we didn't even fight?

That's what I'm saying. Smaug said that Iraq wouldn't have gotten into the war if they didn't invade Kuwait and whatnot, but that's not really winning the war, is it?
