SGSwift gone?

It seems the infamous surge warp exploiter on Emerald "SGSwift" has been either perm banned or he deleted his character.

If SOE finally did something about him why wait until he got 71,000 cheap kills?

Really old news, but yea, him and a few others are gone. (along with a guy from markov).

I personally never had trouble with him when I played on emerald, but I do know that SOE is very strict about needing a lot of evidence before banning someone, so I go ahead and agree with their decision regardless of what I have seen.

but he did get another account and is playing again under another name, it was two SG guys that got banned, one from markov, the markov guy hasnt made another account. the SG two did.

It was Swift and Prophet as far as I know. They were joined at the hip, so if there was one cheating it's a sure thing the other was as well. On Emerald I've only played NC for any amount of time, so I was never on the other end of it. It's near impossible to tell who on your team is cheating I've noticed, because all of your attention is focused on either enemies or squadmates. Anybody else is just kind of in the way.

Neither of these guys cheat. They are just VERY VERY good. No one can compile that many kills through hacking alone and not get caught way before hand. Do you have ANY idea how hard it is to get into sg? you have to take SGSwift on in a one on one mossy battle, and Swift didn't hack those air battles, because people have beaten him (I have one of them in my outfit). He isn't un beatable, just really good. The only reason SOE kicked him is because whinners like you complained soo much with your baseless accusations that SOE had to ban him or you'd all quit and they would lose money.

All I'll say is:

1. He was the most warping surge monkey I've ever seen. If your opponent can't see you to shoot back you have a significant advantage. I hope that's not how you are defining "skill".

2. SOE will gather proof before taking a drastic measure like they did. With improved speedstep detection and alert CSR's Swift simply got busted. You don't get banned for being good.

I left other games (RTCW and BF1942) to come over to PS mainly because of hacking/cheating. PS does an excellent job of weeding out the cheaters and hackers... but falls short on nailing down glitch exploiters.

I've been FPS gaming online since '96 with Quake 1 and have been in all the leagues or repute... CAL, TWG, OGL, and others. I know a good player when I see one... and I know BS when I see it too...

I do not think swift/propeht/got5 cheated. Playing with them, playing against them, theywere good at what they did. Talking with them they did not seem like the type who would cheat.

Imagine you got banned one day for cheating and you know you didn't. How would you feel?

I feel bad for them, plus the list of things they allegedly did seems very similar to the current warping issues in the game engine.

Its little things, like strafing along the wall, turning surge on while strafing away that make you appear to be catapulting across other peoples screens that make people scream omg h4x!

All of this doesnt matter, thats terrific, no one gives two craps about SG and its loser warpers.
Have you ever watched him play???You wouldnt be supporting him if you did.

My only encounter with him ever was on Esamir after he mowed down me and 6 or 7 others using quad-shot (pre-fix). Only saw quick shimmers of blue and gold darting around from place to place.

yah i got killed by him once...i thought it was strange i was in a forest on eisamir and he was darting around behind all the trees extemly quickly...i thought it was surge but i had surge before and it was no where near that quick

i'm not one to feed gossip or accuse irrationally, but sgswift's "warping" trend was clear to me around the 15th encounter.
