Omg Noob Stuck In Training Help Me I Think Im Gonna Die

ok, so i just bought planetside yesterday, and im doing the vanu offfline training, and im doing the facilite capture tutorial, its easy walk up to the door panel wip out the rek, etc but now im in the room with the control console, it says to hack the thing, so i pull out the rek press the left mouse button, and nothing happens!!!! ive been trying every which way to get this damn thing to work, im aiming right at the console, ive tried it from 2 inches away to 1 foot away to all the way against the back wall and the damn thing still wont work, ive aimed at every part of the console but it still wont work, im gonna cry.

mine works untill the spawn section, you carn't spawn anywere after the AMS blowes up

just go to VR online, it helps with most stuff, everything else you'll figure out from field experience.

I had a friend like you. I spent months encouraging him to play the game. I finally got him to download the demo, and he wasted most of those 7 days playing the offline training!

He then had the nerve to tell me that the game sucked. So I asked him " buddy? Did you even play online at all?"

and he was like: " No, I was trying to get used to the game offline first."

Dumb shit! I hate him for it. So yeah...... anyways

I remember I tried the same thing. Got my 7 day trial and spent the entire first day screwing around to make the offline training work. Mine would stall on the very fist scenario, where you met the three characters and were supposed to press G to talk with your empire mate. Never worked for me. I was convinced there was a problem with either my hardware or the software (hey, my experience with companies, is when they release it live, it's polished). Anyway, after spending the better part of a day reloading software, upgrading drivers, etc. I finally tried it online, only to quickly find out that training was bugged. What a waste of time (and a good intro into how SOE does business).

Oh well. Hey, that gets me thinking, I think I might just try out the online training just for the hell of it. Should be interesting to see what SOE thinks is important to learn and how far I can make it before it crashes.

Online training is bascially teaching yourself.

learn online.. when you learn ONline you actually get experience for it. don't waste time in the training mode. it is teh lose. train in game and get BEP, then go out and shoot shit with your stuff. yay
