If there was one game you could want being developed that isn't being developed(that we know of) what would it be? Keep it realistic and attainable if possible
I'd love PlanetSide2(my unattainable dream would be a babylon 5 MMOFPS/spacecombatsim/rpg/economicgame) |

Total Annihilation 2
Supposedly that's being developed by some korean developer. However, I've heard nothing more about it in the year or so since I first read that it was being developed. So as far as I'm concerned, it's still vaporware. Oh yeah, and StarCraft 2! Damn Blizzard and their StarCraft Ghost. Complete waste of time and the Starcraft universe.

Hmm, a Halo MMOFPS involving a massive war between the Covenant and Humanity would be fuxxing awesome. You could balance out the Covenant on a one-on-one basis with the humans by adding things like uber-speed to Grunts. That would be so awesome. Of course, Halo 2 will have to be completed first.

I'd like to see an online game, it may be in the future, that's based in space. Completely. Hundreds and hundreds of systems, each base being like a city in an average RPG. You could take a standard job of delivery, you wouldn't just take one job and be done, but there'd always be stuff that needed delivering. You and a clan could have a base set up a popular system where other factions or freelancers could come by and have dealings with you. You could buy a bar, storage rooms, etc. You can also hang out on a ship. Just ask someone for a ride to another base if your ship wasn't around and you could walk up the bording ramp, take a seat in the passenger area and wait to arrive. It'd also have weapons, anything from swords to assault rifles. There also needs to be some forms of alien life that you might get into fights with. Not like star wars where they're all sentient, but dinosaur-like things, for example. If they get loose on your ship while you're delivering them, you have to find ways to kill them or stun them so you can get them back in their cages. Occasionally you may stumble upon an empty ship, just drifting along. You could tow it back somewhere, or go onboard and look, you may find the crew was killed by some monsters who got loose, and you may have to kill the monsters.
Basically, EXTREMELY open ended. It'd be a lot like real life. You don't have to be a crazy space pilot who goes and shoots up other crazy space pilots. You may be the resident gunsmith on a station, you may manage small deliveries between player-owned businesses, or you may just hang out in a bar and chat, or give advice to people.

Hmmm a lot like real life? But the little spaceship drifting along, that would be pretty freaky. All the lights out on board, dead bodies everywhere, an frequent scampering or rattling sound. When you least expect it, you all see something out of the corner of your eye, the next moment you're dead.

One other thing, cargo. You could arrange little tricks for pirates if they were stupid enough not to scan each box before rushing to take it. If they came with fighter ships and went after your transport, one passenger could unload the boxes and stash the goods somewhere else. Then they could plant a small bomb in one of them, and some weighted material in the rest so the pirates wouldn't get too suspicious because of how fast they're moving when they should be carrying 50 pounds a box off your ship. Then, as a price for their lack of caution, as they speed off, you detonate the bomb and blow their ship apart. Then you go back and recover anything that may have survived the blast. Serves the bastards right for fucking with you.
Or if you're being chased you may stumble across an abandoned station in a far-off system. You could run really fast and dock there, then run up to the control room and activate the auto-defenses, telling them to consider the pirates as enemies.

SOCOM III would be nice but they're probably going to make that anyway.

Mechwarrior Online. Capturable territory. PVM and PVP. End to end, massive battletech simulation. Gain power, prestige and money by protecting and serving or seriously wrecking the people trying to.
There would be mechanical issues to work out, but I think it would be possible. Ideally mechs would require upkeep, resupply, deployment, etc.
