I was going to write this in another thread but I think it deserves a topic of it's own.
Perhaps I am simply seeing it from the wrong direction. Perhaps I am not being in touch with my expressive side. Perhaps I need to be more sensitive and be more inclined to write about my feelings. Or perhaps i'm right and online journals are a fucking huge phony act meant for the same type of people who, in real life, are called "posers". Perhaps they really ARE simply tools of egoisticism for people to write innecent drivel about their lives and pretend everyone will read it and care. Wow, you ate a sandwich and went to the mall today. That's great, write it in on your online journal so the whole world can see and spend the next hour debating with themselves philosophically over whether you took the correct cource of action in eating the sandwich before you left. Pardon me while I roll my eyes. Or maybe you got in a argument with someone today? Do you suck it up and find the correct cource of action (either an apology or a punch to the nose)? No! Instead you spend the day thinking how your going to word this on your "command center of phonyness". As soon as you get home you run to your PC and write about the argument and the other person, expecting everyone who reads it to have a huge outcry of sympathy/support. Pardon me while my eyes roll out of my fucking head. There is only ONE reason to have an online journal. That reason is: Your a melodramatic drama queen of the female persuasion in the age of 12-16 who's entire focus is yourself and your social life. If you don't fall into that category and you have an online journal then PULL THE FUCKING PLUG AND GET OVER YOURSELF! |

The gun katas. Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly. |

Did you read my post?
If your question is: "Do Blogs fall under the category of self centered, drama queen inspired, incesent drivel that no one cares about but is written to satisfy some egoistical need for public approval?" If that's your question, then yes. There are only 2 legitimate reasons to write a journal if your not in the teenage girl category above. 1. Your a scientist doing an experiment. 2. Your an insane man about to commit a mass murder w/ suicide. |

First of all I'd like to say I don't have an online journal, and I don't want one.
But why the hell would anyone other than me care? I write whatever the fuck I want, in the end you choose to read it. I don't care whatever you label me, if it makes me feel better that's all I care about.

It's when you take the step to posting it online that you go from "helping yourself" to "being an attention starved drama queen". It's not about whether people read it or not, it's the fact that YOU posted it for the ONLY purpose of having OTHER people read it. If that wasn't your purpose you would have made it a PRIVATE journal. When you write it for the ONLY purpose of having OTHER people read it, you become exactly what i was labeling - an egoistic, drama queen poser. [Edit] Your not, Bio. |
