So I went to the Specialist Doctor dude today

He fiddled around with my knee and he said that my Paleta's (sp?) groove that it sits in may be too shallow, and that's why I have near constant dislocations. I got some x-rays took, but he's none the wiser. He's sending me to an even specialer specialist who is a specialist in knee specialisation. Or something.

Cliffs:

1) Doctor trip
2) Doctor says my Paleta might be sitting in a shallow groove
3) Get x-rays, doctor doesn't know, he's sending me to another guy
4) I may have to get surgery on my knee
5) ...
6) No profit yet

Good grief... are you really like this, or is this an attention-grabbing act?

So Hez, is this an injury-related knee problem or a degerative knee problem? I know your patella is all knackered, but did you do something to get it that way?

...dude, I respect what you say, and I know your a younger PSU member, but there are better romodels.

Anyways, my dad had something just like that as well a few years ago. He coulnd't play sports for while, had an operation, it was a big thing. But he didn't catch it as early as he could of.

I think I inherited it off my dad, because he's had the same problems. It may have been caused from me playing rugby alot, but I don't think that's the case.

Anyway, I hope it is a shallow groove. That way I can get surgery and start playing sports again

Hezzy, hope all goes well. I have had three knee operations now due to sports related injuries. They are tough, but you can recover fully and in good shape by lots of exercise and a good attitude. I am assuming you are fairly young, so that should be a big help in recovering quickly.

Also, if the docs allow it, maybe get some physical therapy prior to the operation (if it is indeed a necessity) to help with the recovery process afterwards. If you have any questions about what to expect as far as a knee operation, please PM me and I can try and answer them! I am not a doctor, but like I said, I have had a few operations and I can at least share some of the things that go on.
