aquireing guns

i was trying to see if i could fine some info about how you got certain weapons in the game and obviously failed misrably. so do you just automaticly choose what guns to equip on the char pending on the slots he has to hold, or do you have to go purchace then somehow as in cs?

I believe that when you respawn, you go over to a weapons pannel, and you can see a list of the guns that you're certified in. Then you choose which guns you want and they are in your inventory.

edit-unless of course you are a MAX, and then I think you spawn with the weapon.

aight so when you gain bep's you can get the certs for those weapons. but do you need the certs for all the common pool, and also do those certs apply to enemy guns that they drop or are those just free game?

ok then here's a good question. I Don't think so but will there be a way to get say VS energy cells for your VS gun (that you oviously stole from a corpse) if your not VS?

you need certifications to use all weapons beside standard assault which comes "automatically", you can use enemy guns if you are certified for the class that they are in, but these can only be looted from the dead, and possibly stolen from lockers and bases.

im not talking about the guns, im talking extra energy cells when the gun you jacked gets depleted, maby there could be like a un place where you could buy extra cells or something

You probably have to loot it off of corpses. That or hack into a terminal and grab some. Power cells, of course.

that will kinda be a pain in the @$$ to get into a VS base a pick up cells lol

OK, lets say that your a TR and you loot a RIFLE from a VANU corpse. Do you have to be certified for the EXACT gun or just in the class which is RIFLE??

you can't be certified in only one gun, with the exception of the Sniping cert, which gives you that ability to use a bolt driver.

Thankfully, you only have to be certified in the class.

I'm just saying tha it would suck if you had to have a cert for each weapon.
