You have been warned, spoilers after this line:
================================================== ======= Anyone who has completed the game knows it ends on a cliffhanger, not quite as big of a cliffhanger as halo 2's, more in a way similair to the original Half Life. I am kind of annoyed that you never really get to learn what the combine actually is, or what the citadel is doing, or what dark energy is. However, that dark energy manipulator is fucking sweet, also the way it beefs up your HEV, OH MAN.

Interesting Mr Freeman, very interesting. Personally, I'm more intrigued as to what the hell that giant slug-like creature was that Dr Green (I think thats his name?) was talking to?
I liked the effect at the end, yeah yeah it's been done in every film and game since the Matrix came out way back when, but I believe this was pretty classy, the way it slowed down was weird when you were planning your escape, but then you realise what's going on and ooh. Gotta say, I was amused by the fact that when the G-man was walking in the blackness, his footsteps still made sound. I know it was like that. Actually, I guess it was kind of clever that it was like that. I just argued with myself... hrmm... Oh and, those looking for spoilers, but feeling let down - - HL2 ending.
