so, i wanna get a air rifle, and am looking for the most accurate one i can find, and one of em says C-T-C .20 or something like that, so i ask you, wtf does that mean?

You need to get a pellet rifle, shoots .177 calibur pellets. Thats what the olmypics use in their marksmanship competitions. We use pellet rifles in ROTC because we cant have real firearms on school property.

first off, airguns aren't firearms because there's not normally fire - makes 'em much more legal, though.

common airgun calibers (calibres) are .177, .20, .22, and .25 (these are in values of an inch, measured in diameter from the land of the rifling (the smallest diameter of the barrel, not from the bottom of the grooves)

bolt action, a good make, and a heavy barrel are what will give you accuracy.

what's your intended price range? that'll have a direct impact on your precision

I know of a gun shop that still has a stockpile of ak's and m60's from before they were made illegal....they can't seem to find a way to get rid of them, yet every time i go there, there are fewer and fewer unmarked boxes...
