Planetside any better than it was 6 months ago?

i quit planetside around 6 months ago because of a few different things i didnt like. Somethings were:

1.) TR was rediculously underpowered
2.) Lag was pretty bad ( maybe just me?)
3.) No XP split for kills (last shot gets all XP)

Plus, because of a lot of things they did since beta (i played in beta and a year or so after release) i began thinknig SOE was a completely bogus company.

I sttaretd playing WoW and thats great, but im more into war games, i play Halo 2 on Xbox live and i have a blast with that, so im thinking about PS, so my question is, specifically to people who have ben playing since 6 months ago, how much has this game changed?

1. They've gotten better
2. I've never had lag problems (except for the first week when i was using AOL, nightmare i tell you)
3. There still is kill stealing

1) TR can hold there own
2) Lag got worse for alot of people thanks to BFRs (caused me to buy an alienware rather then upgrade again like I did when CC came out)
3) XP still goes to the person who makes the kill

The biggest change in the last 6 months is the BFR. Players are split pretty much down the middle on love/hate them.

1. NC are actually the ones recently complaining about being underpowered ;D Or atleast underpopulated
2. Lag has well... meh. Still there
3. No XP split, but they ARE making it so that by simply being near to your teammates, you get MORE XP than you would soloing.

Asside from which, they really have done a LOT of changes since:

Picked up a few old skoolers in the last few weeks.

Fighting bots is fun for a while, but when it comes to playing online it's all about Player versus Player
Otherwise you might as well be playing on a Console
And the biggest baddest PvP you can find online is PlanetSide

Things are really looking up for PlanetSide
That installer on Marco's site is one I wrote.
And since he's launched this campaign late December, it's been downloaded atleast 8000 times.
Thing's gotten posted on Gamespot, MMORPG, GameTrailers, and SlashDot


Whats better is that the Dev's have seriously been working on the game in 2005.

BFRs aren't nearly as bad as they were
Added three more Battle Ranks up to BR23
ATV's actually don't suck, and you can get em for 1 point
You can hotdrop bail out of ATVs and Assault Buggies
There's Merit awards you can gain from killstreaks

And the one I'm really looking forward to should be on Test server by tommorow, or monday.
They completely rehauled the interstellar lattice structure
The internal lattice structrue
And created a Tactical Broadcast Gate system

Also made Battle Islands connected to Sanctuary Home Continents
Can broadcast through them
No HA, No Heavy Vehicles, and
FREE Empire Buggies for everyone

There's plenty of future things in the works
Including Command Abilities
Squad XP Rehaul
And even a complete redesign of ALL bases, making each one unique some time in the next 5 months.

other than the occasional solo os that a cr5 uses just for random kills, the many cr5's we have around pretty much use their os's to kill them pogosticking submarines. how else do you clear 5 out of your courtyard. If it wasn't for them you'd never be able to push out once your getting hit hard

Actually OS gets used most to kill AMS's

It's to a point where you can expect about 80% of the AMS's deployed at an enenmy base will be killed by an OS.
