Upstate NY? I live in upstate NY. And I like Ivan have the beloved gun. And its not just a gun. Its THE gun. All bow down before the Old School Matrix with Q loader, in shipping fanning trigger, arrdvark slam bolt, and in shipment Trinity Mini Reg.
Please try not to drool at my jaw dropping 29bps RoF. (Please note that the RoF will soon be increased with a hot new Tadao 5.0 board) |

where exactly do you live? My Cyborg shoots 30 balls per second at it's peak...Gladiator Reg is by far the best, the sonic clamp is definately worth it. LegionAir is the best screwin tank available on the market. I play at elementz, been to some tournaments at FPP in albany.. I see you use the Q-Loader too...How is it? hey firecracker, what do you have on it? I was also looking into the new ION for a backup gun (although I wouldn't be able to use it because under my MacDev sponsorship I can only shoot the Cyborg). I know they had to recall them because, like the Nerve, thet mass made them and distributed them so quickly. but the ION looks so SWEET... Last edited by Kyonye; 2005-03-20 at 01:56 AM. |

I live in the vacinity of Albany, I do have a car and such so trips arnt a burden on me.
The Q Loader, how should I describe this thing..... um... its like a woman who cant have a clitoral orgasm... you need to hit the G spot.... The Q loader is a bitch to get running 100% but when you do... holy shit, get out of my way. I timed my self and I emptied 500 paintballs in around 40 seconds (bout 5 to acctualy shoot 1 out of 5 pods and then a couple more seconds to chamber another pod) The Tadao board is what is going to put my gun back on top. With a set of eyes and the Tadao 5.0 board the RoF has not been determined as its just too fast.... no one has peaked it out yet, man or machine. Right now my gun is like par with the others, but with this little tweak, it will be the best gun around again. |

As for the paintball I don't play now, but I plan on buying some type of gun soon so I can play this summer with a couple friends. Anyone have suggestions on what I should get for my first gun? Nothing to expensive...just a nice little gun for a noob like me |

Well, first and foremost, what is price range?
I always say for any beginner to pick up a Tippmann 98 Custom, or a Tippman A-5 (A-5 is more expensive, but not by too much). Also, Smart parts just came out with a new gun called the ION, priced at $300MSRP...It's a nice gun for it's price. For you, as a beginner, I say pick up a Tippmann 98 Custom or a Tippmann A-5...reason being is because they are easy to take care of, and they are very reliable Paintball Markers...also, they aren't electric...to start off with, you should always go Mechanical because they are easier to deal with and take care of. I started off with very low-end guns and worked my way up. don't by a spyder, not that they are bad markers, They just aren't that good. out of the 98 custom and the A-5, i'd go with the 98 Custom...Cheaper and just reliable with almost the same bps (balls per second). A-5 achieves 15bps and 98 customs achieves 12bps. Also, when you get a gun, first thing to look for is a new after market barrel (basically means non stock barrel)...the stock barrels on the tippmanns aren't that good and you can pick up a 12" J&J Ceramic for around $30-$40. with an after market barrel on the gun, it'll be much more accurate. really the only problem is see with tippmann's is that they're air hogs but not really as bad as people think...you can shoot plenty with them with a 20oz CO2 tank.... Good beginner Setup: JT Proflex Goggle system Tippmann 98 custom J&J Ceramic barrel (or any other good barrel, such as the Stiffi) 20oz CO2 tank Either VL200 hopper if you are gonna play woodsball or VL Revolution 12volt with X-board if you are gonna play speedball |
