Maybe for you.. there are plenty more outrageous things I could do. I could start posting photos, articles etc. The current state of world affairs certainly seems like its leading up to another WW.

Lighten up already, just because you are in the military now doesent mean that everyone around you is ignorant to the world or our soldiers. I have family and many friends in the military, do you think I want them to all travel overseas and die? I am well aware just like you are of what it involves and the things that are at risk. Just because I make a thread like this doesent mean I am a dumbass or don't understand the ramifications of such a war...

If there is a WWIII I could be drafted, along with many others on this forum. So you are right it is a serious matter, there is no reason not to talk about it.

As for the subject of this thread... it should'nt be long before all hell breaks loose. I don't beleive it's gonna be a WW right off the bat thought... it's gonna start with a full blown out war in Israel then those who side with them will start attacking too... and those who side against will start attacking and it will gently grow into a fiasco.

All thanks to Bush none-the-less. I'm still taking my steps to join the infantry... I just don't know if my carreer is gonna last that long since we have a new leader (Harper) who is in all manners a mini-Bush. Our military all of sudden stopped being picky, is recruiting en masse and just got 5 billion from the current administration.

With any luck, things will die down... if not. Blood will be shed and a whole lot of it.

Anyway...WWIII. It's not going to happen in a traditional WW2, Korea or even Gulf I sence. All conflict we're going to see are Iraq style invasions and insurgent and terrorist action. Military victory against nearly any of the countries we could go to war with will come incredibly fast, but then the region would remain unstable and devolve into guerilla fighting and civil war.

The US military is SO much more capable than all the players in the middle east, besides Isreal(who would be on our side unless something bat-shit-insane happens). We would steamroll any countries military, and topple the government in a flash. Then we would have to deal with the terrorism and violence that we spawned.

If a war with china ever came about things would be scary I've got no clue how it would work.

The US would probably end up broke because we can't support out war machine without considerable supplies of raw materials we probably don't have availible here.

China on the other hand is in a possition to be self sufficient, They could take over Siberia and it's oil reserves, and with all that land mass they probably have a good bit of the natural rescources that are needed.

I don't think this will become a World War as we currently know it. I do think that this will become a war, but the US will try as hard as it can to not get involved. Of course, that won't work because the US will never let Israel get destroyed.

The world is in a sad state right now. There's not much that will prevent further destruction unless Jesus comes back soon.

Edit: Now as far as the US trying to not get involved... I doubt it. I'm pretty damn sure that's a moot point. Your current administration doesn't really care for letting something run it's course, we've had the proof in Iraq and Afghanistan. It started off with Bin Laden, then out of nowhere they made they advanced on Iraq to "liberate" it. What's to stop Bush to do the same with any other country?

Anyways I'm sort of tired right now... I'll put my thought in a word document and eventually put it up here.
