Wrong forum but I am the allowed.
I have probably spent far to much time, effort, and maybe even money to do this but man is it fun as hell. Will I be able to operate it all while half in the bag? Will it work when i actually want to go on the air? Will anyone even show up and listen? Tune in Saturday to find out AGN-Bot is back and working in IRC for shoutouts, requests and all that jazz. If all goes as planned, MattxMosh and Jenny will join me on the air and, hopefully a few of you on TeamSpeak. |

Whoa, thats a really nice set up there. Makes me wonder if your secretly planning to move away from Planetside, because I mean, all that effort for a dead game seems like alot. That would really be helpful if you got ATD back up, but I think thats hughly unlikeys, in planetside atleast. Or, maybe im reading into this too much.

Hamma, you should look into becoming a subcontracted DJ. Thats what I do on the weekends for some spare mula. Its a REALLY fun job and I get to do what I love to do, listen to music and blather on about random crap on the mic. Definatly fun.

You just can't be a DJ without having Vinyl.

And yet oh so gay when it comes to DJ'ing.
I'm sorry but a guy that just plugs and laptop and does didly shit but wave his hands and say "Alright ladies and gentlemen! Get readdddyyy to paaaaaarrrrttttttyyyy!" is not what I call a DJ. It's what I call someone who puts on music and yells random crap in a microphone. I dunno... maybe I'm just too old school for you!

It doesn't really matter what form the music is in. What I really hate is then DJs make a "Mix tape" or CD or playlist and just let it play. That's not DJ'ing. That's just playing music. As far as I'm concerned there are two types of DJs. The DJs that create their own music on the fly by mixing two or more songs together and the other is the DJ that plays songs but can read the crowd and judge what the crowd at the time wants and keeps everyone dancing and happy. DJ'ing is not a Ron Popeil Rotisserie Oven; you don't "Set it, and forget it!"
My brother used to DJ before back in the 90's before MP3's where all that popular. I remember him lugging 3 footlockers full of CDs. That was a pain in the ass, but he must if liked it he's a sound engineer now.
