SECTION 8: PREJUDICE
I loved the first even though I didn't buy the full game (got into it a bit late). While watching this trailer, I was ready to dump $60 on this... then they announced it's only $15! "Weaow!!" UPDATE: Pre-order price on steam is now only $13.49!! (this is a one time payment! no monthly fee!) April 20th for Xbox 360 and May 4th for PC. Check this page out for a video of in-depth gameplay: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...e-release-date

If you are into the quick death super twitch shooters, it looks good for that. But thats of no interest to me. But its also 15 bux so hard to make a mistake if you are into that at all.
While that seems cheap, they will just make their money on the content downloads. Good chance many games, esp this genre, will do things like that more often. And no its nothin like PS, none of the depth. Just in your face quick twitch and instant death action, which isnt bad, dont get me wrong. I just want nothin to do with it. Also its upgrade based, so prepare to get owned by vets who win based on gear. Not a game i want to play. Actually thats my biggest fear with PS:N. If its based on gear upgrades that make you more powerful you can count me out. Even if i started maxed out from day one, i wouldnt play. I want nothin more to do with any more gear grinds so i can pvp in a game fairly. Nor do i want to win based on gear. There's a reason i dont play WoW anymore. |

For $13.49 it has enough content, trust me. I just played the demo on Xbox 360 and even that was worth it.
There is a lock-on feature for players who can't twitch. Though you can only get them to half health before the lock-on wears off, so you do need SOME skill. I don't think it's upgrade-based. I just played the demo online (against players who have bought the game) and everyone had access to everything. And Planetside is already based on gear. Reinforced Exosuit + chain gun vs stealth suit and pistol... you tell me who's gonna win.

Then why did your title say PLANETSIDE NEXT IS HERE: well not really.
You don't clearly state for people who don't know better what the game is, and the trailer, like so many does a poor job of doing anything but throwing shiny bits at your eyes. Your post just looks like an advertisement, and it's preceded by a bait and switch. TBH, pretty annoying. Not that it doesn't look like a good game, and not like you don't deserve a bit of the ol' banhammer for the post. |

I mean once you've played Section 8 enough and gotten your fill, alot of information for Planetside: Next should be coming out by then. So you'll be back. |

Nobody cares if you stay. Nobody cares if you go. Especially with some passive-aggressive bullshit like what you just said. All I can tell you is, *IF* you decide to stay, you'd better get a thicker skin and stop getting butt-hurt when people engage you in a manner that isn't north-south to your touchy-feely sing-kumbaya manner of thinking. |

I played Prejudice in de PC beta and i thought it was really awesome. I really like the Multiplayer with it's dynamic objectives (DCM'S). And for only 13 euro's? Buy! I Unfortuanaly the PC version comes a little later (May 4). The game also got good ratings:
Eurogamer.net – 9/10 GamePro.com – 4.5/5 StrategyInformer.com – 9/10 ElectronicTheatre.co.uk – 9/10 VideoGameTalk.com – 5/5 RipTen.com – 9.5/10 |
