yea basically taking the game back to the original - was fun but its been in development for so long now (like 5-6 years) but since its just some guys trying to backwards develop a fairly complicated game in their spare time i can understand it.
i havent touched it in a bunch of years now, but last time i did it they had recreated a pretty great game....pops are generally god awful low which kind of kills it a bit for me personally. |

Some things are missing and there are some bugs but for the most part it's pretty playable. I'm trying to find a group of people that play pretty regularly, so far no luck. The forums are pretty active though. |

Whether it's legal or not, unfortunately all Lucas has to do is demand him to stop or they'll start up a lawsuit even if they know they'll lose, just to make the creators pay a ton of legal fees.
But I really enjoyed Galaxies before it's first big changes. The game's Creature Handling class and player cities where my favorite parts. |

The EMU, as much as I personally respect their technical abilities, is a fail project, because they took the buggiest, feature light version of the game and went and made it even more buggy and lacking in features. For anyone who enjoys playing SWG the way it is now, the EMU is unacceptably lacking and bad.
That said, kudos to them for getting it to work! I hope they have fun with it and it gets to be as enjoyable as the original was in 2003. |
