i have swtor preordered and i'm in closed beta.
still unsure as to, if i want to actually play it.

I loved the sith stories and the gameplay/pvp isn't bad.
Just not sure if i'm ready to play another wow clone with superior story telling.

Said this in another thread but I'm sure the Devs are thrilled with that release date, getting to spend every waking moment at the office for the entire holiday season

I'd assume games are most profitable when released around this time though.

It sucks but they wanted to get it out in time for Christmas.

I've not looking into this game to much, I'm getting actually tired of mmorpgs and their grind. It might be good, it might be rubish, I can always play it in a year or so if its actually worth my time.

I followed this game since 2005 since it was only a "MMORPG rumor thread #x" on the bioware off topic forum. Since then, the game has really just gone down in greatness. They came back on a lot of their original ideas and plans and seemed to go more and more for concepts that were used in WoW already. Which is a shame because I've already played WoW to death.

Nonetheless, I'm still looking forward to the game. It shows a nice casual setting, the story IS nice to play through, I didn't spend any time looking at my xp bar wondering when I'll level up and the classes are really fun. And it's finally a sci-fi setting rather than those millions of fantasy games.
PvP doesn't seem to be turning into that much goods, I fear the open world pvp zone Illum has will just be like Wintergrasp, a glorified battleground on a timer.
But thats ok. Planetside 2 will sate my lust for carnage while SWTOR will just be casual group (co-op) fun.

I'm not interested into an MMORPG for PvP right now. If SWTOR or GW2 are successful at it, awesome. Or any other upcoming MMORPG. But after WoW I just don't think I should look into these games with hopes for good PvP.

Besides, if I did I wouldn't have a reason to play PS2

But I am interested in SWTOR for the story. I'm not into single player games much anymore so going on adventures with my friends or random internet trolls is right up my alley.
