So I was thinking: if we're getting single multipurpose ES aircraft, how are we going to know which ones should be avoided. Personally I don't want to find myself attacking a mozzie with a tank that turns out to be an av jet. So here's something: let's imagine we have 3 basic fighter modifications. And depending on these modifications vehicle gets a postfix like: *** Mosquito - Mosquito-2a (Air to Air) - Mosquito-2s (Air to Surface) *** Reaver - Reaver "DGFT" (Dogfight) - Reaver "SSLT" (Assault) *** Dyson - Dyson GoS (Guardian of Skies) - Dyson GoL (Guardian of Lands) *** Same can be applied to any vehicle and goes as far as your imagination can get you.

I would think that ordinarily, you will have to guess, or use your own experience to judge what weapons a vehicle has equipped.
Hopefully Planetside 2's version of Advanced Targeting will provide us with a wealth of information about our targets though. Health, modifications, weapons, number of occupants, etc. |

I think I'd prefer something like an implant/vehicle module that would automatically identify the major gear your target is carrying and add it to your HUD. Combined with your own experience you could then reach the conclusion that the missile/AB equipped mossie is an interceptor and would be difficult to engage in your reaver gunship.
