Neither campaign was great, but BF3's was just generic. Every time it cut to the good cop/bad cop interrogation I had to walk away. There where good parts, but overall not worth it. I'd pay $60 just for the multiplayer but less then $10 for the campaign.

I liked that about Battlefield 2142. That game said "f*ck it, you don't need a story mode, just shoot some motherf*ckers". And we liked it that way... you kids and yer fancy campaign missions don't know how good you got it.

They did release an expansion for it, which actually advanced the in-universe story... but it was still exclusively multiplayer, lol.
