Apologies if this suggestion has been made already; skipped to the end of this thread.
When in 3D cockpit mode, it would be great if all game elements that are part of the HUD were on the console/dashboard itself. So not only speed and altitude, but shield / armor values, weapon status and remaining ammunition, and that sweet color minimap! |

What if the cockpit were to change depending on how you've specced out your plane? Like if you've specced it for anti-tank the instrumentation would be at the top, leaving the bottom of the cockpit free to see the ground better. In an air-air spec the instrumentation would be at the bottom, and in an all around spec (if such a thing exists) it'd be right in the middle

Looks ballin. Nice to know what the TR will be seeing my Reaver from.
Anyone else notice the minimap in the lower-right corner? It's not a monochromatic mess anymore. No compass slider either... They listened to us on that one, too.

Or perhaps the energy required to cloak increases exponentially with mass. Etc. |

That's my thought anyway. Health status is viewable from the model to the right of the screen which shows a basic image of the aircraft itself. Ammo is on the bottom right of the screen, speed and altitude are part of the frame, and minimap is off to the lower left. No real space for a chat box.
