Hello there glorious community, it's been a few months since I signed up here after hearing about Planetside 2, and its beta. Don't discount me just yet...
I did get some limited exposure to the original Planetside, and it made me feel the same excitement back then as PS2 does now. However, like many, I suspect, I only had a fleeting trial or subscription (my memory doesn't fare well that far back) to experience PS, and being in my early teens around its launch and prime, there was no way I could support what would be my all-consuming habit.
Since then, I've fallen in love with the Planetside concept of large-scale combined arms gameplay, but through games like Operation: Flashpoint, and recently Arma II. The feeling of playing with "serious" gamers on a mission, faking military standard operating procedures is one I always long for, and unfortunately, I haven't had the hardware (both my computer and network) to support as much as I want of it. Although I have been in a clan before, competing in the original Call of Duty no less, I haven't had the fortune of being with a clan like ShackTac that plays games like Arma II with a high level of maturity and discipline, however much I've wanted to, and my technical restrictions come into play here too.
Within the next few months though, basically over summer break, I will be investing in a gaming rig more than suitable for PS2. As well, my network troubles will be solved.
And so, with this introduction done, I'd like to extend an offer to any recruiting outfits to consider adding myself. I'm looking for ones with mature players who are dedicated to putting the time into this game and their clan that I will. Although I've mentioned serious gamers, of course I like cutting loose in virtual-life threatening situations too, and joking around is no problem as long as it doesn't get in the way of practices and missions. I intend to specialize in air transport in the end, however I'm open to taking my time as a grunt in the beginning. Also, I need a N.C. clan, I love their look.
I appreciate all of you who are kind enough to read this, communities such as these are awesome, and the outfit who does recruit me is guaranteed to not be disappointed.
