Does anyone like the New Conglomerate?

We all know the Vanu are the best, they have the best vehicles, the best looking armor, laser guns. In fact, don't even listen to me, just look at this guy.

Are you seeing this? Stylish gun, fashionable armor, and shades built right into his helmet. This is just amazing, he looks like a space pimp, look at his expression, he knows how cool he is.

And how does he get to work in the morning?

Yeah, Alien Hover Tank

Next up you get the Terran Republic. They have the second best looking vehicles and armor in the game, and they have chain guns, lots and lots of chain guns, they don't even need to aim, they just send a wall of lead in your general direction. They also have the whole super patriot thing going on, to the point that I kind of want to see a crying eagle decal on that gunship. They're a pretty close second to the Vanu

Last up, you have these guys.

They carry shotguns, they wear hillbilly armor and their special ability is to put really big guns on their vehicles. Their backstory is that they think space taxes are too high.

Who would ever want to play as these guys? Why would anyone want to play as these guys?

Because they care more about the moral questions than what fashion statements they are making?

Besides, I find the Vanguard more esthetically pleasing than a bunch of zoolanders in flowercoloured armour.

nc is the only faction that i didn't want to play since i read about ps2.
only the vanguard looks nice.

Because they are.

The Republic had been around for more than a thousand years. It was the single most durable government Humanity had ever known and looked to last at least another thousand years. A representative government providing a stable standard of living for all its people, stabilized by a ruthless control of science and communication. Education was granted to all, but subjects furthering science were only taught by the Republic behind closed doors to students that passed specific aptitude tests. They were an elite caste that could not, upon penalty of death, fraternize with non-scientists.

Eventually, the Republic stabilized into continued, controlled growth without the masses having the knowledge or desire to forment revolution...ever.
