Aircraft camping can be a big problem at times, load of aircraft hovering around objectives, spamming fire the second they see even the slightest movement.
Ammo use is not a major issue as they only fire when needed etc. But what if that camping was costing fuel? What if your a long way from a friendly air base? I think fuel would be a interesting logistics addition, ofc you can have something like a galaxy mod to act as a mobile refuling station while deployed etc. Airtower will obvious increase in importance. Just a idea I would throw out there. |

People are also overlooking aircraft are fast and can get from place to place quickly, so a small downtime is a small thing, where as tanks are not only slow, but also limited by the terrain they must cross.
If anything Aircraft fuel would be a balancing point of speed/mobility vs staying power |

There is no aircraft camping in PS2. Engines are cut, you fall like a rock. You basically have to have some amount of forward thrust to stay afloat. Except the scythe, it falls like styrofoam filled with a little helium, but it can't just float and camp either.

Aircraft are already really brittle anyway, and you hit them up with a few lock ons and they'll bug out like the plague is at their backs. Well, most of them will. And it was mentioned that aircraft CAN hover, it just takes a bunch of skill and practice but mostly just hitting the throttle frequently. This doesn't mean that I think aircraft should get fuel, sure I like the idea that after five/ten/thirty minutes or hours or whatever you have to go back to refuel, but what about those many players that just want to pull air and not have to worry about refueling and can only play for an hour or so a day? If you made it so that you could refuel while you repaired or resupplied, then I wouldn't have much of an issue, or if the refuel was quick enough that a few seconds later you're back on your merry way. But my opinion stands that, while it would be fun to see it in, I believe it might be more of an concern than a benefit.
