I think the point of master chief, space marines etc is their very high IQ and quick reaction times. I bet if the real master chief ever played halo he would pass the legendary mode in a single run.
A good example is some Allies who entered Omaha beach and managed to survive from there to the end of the war. There are such people, and they aren't even snipers, I'm sure of it. So super soldiers potentially exist, but it's not their armor that makes 'em cool.

The point of super soldiers in fiction is to awe the reader/viewer with a big explosion in the shape of a human which proceed to make other big explosions for the next two hour period. If a master chief stepped foot on the wrong side of any modern military with a full arsenal at its disposal, they'd have no trouble at all completely annihilating him without reflexes or anything else making a difference.
So doing any kind of "who'd win in a fight" where neither side has the deck stacked drastically in its favour and nobody gets to live forever for storytelling purposes needs to remember that super soldiers aren't worth much when they're not the stars of the game/novel.
