Anybody here play tribes at the competitive level? I've recently been putting some time into it to sway my addiction from planetside 2 lurking, and have found that its quite nice when played in a somewhat teamwork manner. Even if not it would be nice to have a few people to play with instead of always getting teamed up with randoms. Brings me back to good old Tribes 2
I tried Blacklight but it just wasn't for me, Within a couple of hours I had uninstalled because it had already lost its spark to me. After 12 years of counter-strike these new generation shooters really have nothing to offer me. I hate those types of F2P shooters and sadly that's the direction all of them are taking these days. |

I play Tribes every now and then but I don't mind being randomized. Sure some teams are stupid and people like me refuse to become specific classes cuz the team "needs" them, like pathfinders in CTF, but I like my random teams. Easy to get into and nobody complains about how useful I was.
Btw I'm often a tech living in the basement with the generator and my thumper. I'd use my SMG but everybody else uses AoE explosives thinking they are good when in truth they can barely shoot anything besides stationary targets and the ground around a person. And I hate Brutes and Juggs... Not only the most powerful armor but the most faceroll and powerful equipment in game in return for what, speed? Boohoo... |
