Greetings Planetside Universe!

Hello all! I'm Asceye (pronounced A-Se-Yeh) and I'm new to Planetside 2!

A little bit about my gaming history. Been playing games since I was a kid. From Famicom games (battlecity, bomberman, mario, etc), to most recent (and sometimes random) games but mainly in the FPS genre (COD4, L4D2, BF3, etc) and even a bit of Minecraft here and there. My play style is a part casual gaming (playing for fun on my free time) and part tactical-team based gaming (assuming the opportunity arises).

I've wanted to play Planetside 1 since 2003, unfortunately at that time, I lacked the bare minimum required PC Specs and Net. A couple of years later, I got a decent PC and Net, but at that time, no one was playing it anymore (afaik). A delight for me to find out that PS2 is in development and I've been following it ever since!

Stoked to play the game! I just have 2 things left to consider before I do:

Which Faction to Join

From what I've read so far:
TR = Fast Rate of Fire but Less Damage, Fast Vehicle Top Speed, Light Armor
NC = Slow Rate of Fire but Heavy Hitting, Slow Vehicles, Heavy Armor
VS = Laserbased (I assume no bullet drop?), Agile Vertical / Horizontal Movement for Vehicles, Average Armor

Currently I'm leaning towards TR, ROF wise but VS seems interesting as well, vehicle wise. Undecided! Help?

Ping
I'm from South East Asia, so a server where I can have a playable ping is a big issue for me. I'm not sure if there's any servers where I have a good enough ping. Hopefully there is! I hope?

Never had many issues playing PS1 on the US servers from the Oceanic region.
I'm sure PS2 will be a big improvement and if not, they are going to have a server based in AU.
