My brother can't play

Trust me, his computer works. It's better than mine, and mine was custom made. His game plays for maybe 15 minutes, perfectly, then just crashes. It's disrupting his gameplay and he stopped playing just because of it. We can't google around, because I guess no one else has this problem? Any ideas?

What are his specs? Are all his drivers up to date?

Could it be that his computer is overheating?

Re: My brother can't play

It's not the computers fault, I know his drivers are all up to date, his specs are better than mine, and I can play it with perfect fps, and his computer isn't overheating, as he bought an external cooler for it. It's still crashing around every 15 minutes

Saying his specs are better than mine isn't helping. I'd like to know specifics please.

You have to understand that by saying it's definitely not X, we immediately arrive at the conclusion it's X. Anyone who's tried to help people with tech issues for any time at all will have the same natural reaction, because 90% of the time, if anyone says it isn't X? It ends up being X.

Probably some sort of compatibility issue or something software side is broke.

A what? What does this look like?

It's still crashing around every 15 minutes
If it's his whole computer crashing it sounds like overheating.

Here's what he told me- " im pretty sure the problem lies in having a 32 bit system"
would that be true?

That's why I'm asking for his specs.

32 bit shouldn't be the issue either.

Re: My brother can't play

Alright looks like he maybe running out of memory due to the game being a ram hog. Due to only having 32-bit plus 4GB, which limits the total ram to around 3GB is potentially causing some issues. Make sure hes closed out of every program he doesn't need to have running in order to free up as much ram as possible. See if that makes any difference.

I wouldn't go as far as saying 32-bit is the issue, just have to make sure there is as much as possible free to let the game take advantage of.

I'll have him try that out. his birthday is coming up and he's upgrading his computer to have an excessive amount of ram, so hopefully that will be the fix to our problem

I'm surprised that system can play PS2. I'm even more curious about what this "external cooling" is now.
