Question Non-AMS sunderers ?

Now that we have a bazillion cert points I'd like to know if some of you tried the non-AMS sunderer variants.
The old sunderer was pretty cheap and could both heal and rearm friendly vehicles and now that they're separated I'm wondering how the sundie do when specialised in said area.
From the look of it, healing and ammo supply sunderers are now meant to be force multipliers for largish vehicle columns as that's the only way I can see healing/resupplying being remotely as useful as an endless stream of infantry.
I have no trouble seeing how infinite ammo could be useful to tanks columns (especially TR ones) but I wonder if repair sunderers are. Did they change the repair radius and speed ?
If any of you get to try these variants I'd love to know what your first impressions are.

Re: Non-AMS sunderers ?

I rolled the ammo supply Sundy last night, but only when there were a bunch of prowlers around. I can't see a lot of people bringing the healing sundy unless they heal faster than engies. Unless they can heal aircraft too like the old loadstars, then I might be tempted to use one.

I see the repair Sundy as more of a organized team vehicle. You definitely up your survivability in vehicles if you use it properly.

I don't know, if it still repairs as slowly as it used to (back when we had sunderer trains) I doubt a single sundie will be of much use.
IMHO the old repair lacked either a big repair radius to allow repairs while staying very mobile or a pretty fast repair speed so it wouldn't look bad compared to engineer's repair tool.
I may be wrong but I don't see the old slow repair system being of much help if the tanks you want to help and under such a hail of shells and bullets that engineers can't survive.
That's why I wanted to know if the repair speed/radius changed.

I did say organized team vehicle. You know how big some of those platoons can be? What if an entire squad in one platoon all pulled repair Sundys to support the rest of the platoon that is in tanks and air? The repair function stacks if multiple R-Sundys are near correct?

And the devs said it was an exploit when we did this a month ago. Did they decide to change their stance on the matter ?

But if it works then good.

IDK to be honest. I haven't used the R-Sundy that much since the S-AMS came in.

Made some use of the Repair bus on Friday. Maxed out it has a quicker or equivalent repair rate to an engineer. No points for using it though...

I don't know, we tossed a couple Repair and Ammo Sunderers into our caravan today and they seemed pretty useless. People still had to get out and repair like crazy and we kept rolling past ammo towers.

I'd rather have another S-AMS there to shit out Engineers, pack it full of Bursters and not worry about restocking Skyguards.

no points for using the repair sundy?

i won´t use it until this is changed.
support players are still totally screwed in this game.

we still need the support xp system ps1 had!
if you use my support stuff like any sundy, hacked terminals or just getting healed or repaired, i want to get some xp points for every kill you make afterwards for 5 minutes or until you get shot down (with the insane ttk the second option would be no problem)
