Nope. I would say mine is more average if anything. I cannot stand low FPS.

I recently played through Halo CE Anniversary co op with a friend. The lag was driving me nuts through certain parts of the levels.

I understand how you think, but it feels smoother with 35fps+, I built my Pc AMD in march, and now i rebuilt it because of Planetside2.

I can understand how Goku feels, 30 fps is also fine with my Eyes, but it feels smoother with more Fps.Important is that the game does not run under 30 because it gets so SLOOOOW

To me, what's most important is the ability to place the cross hairs over a target and at lower frame rates, that's just much harder to accomplish. I get a lot of micro stuttering and some hitching, even at 20-30 FPS. A Core i5 cpu would likely solve this issue and make the game "feel smoother" even if the frame rate didn't go up much.

AMD is getting spanked in the CPU wars right now, PS2 is just an extension of that. All of the people thinking about upgrading I would probably wait until PS2 hits live to give you a better idea of whats best after they optimize and stuff will be cheaper/better by then.

true, amd isnt the best in the cpu stakes, but for me its ok in ps2 as it stands, but could be better.

i think the devs are still optimizing the game,my x3 was maxed out at 100% on all cores, the new fx doesnt get anywhere near that, maybe peaks at 65% with some cores randomly going unused, tried the new drivers from ms and theres a slight difference, but not much.

its great for mame though,i need to peel my son off the pc as he can play tekken full speed now

With 30 fps you better be NC, if you're TR or VS you're losing rof on your gun.

Although I think they will fix it sooner or later, something this big cannot be left like that.

seems there a bit to go on optimizing, this was after half an hour in a fairly big fight, fames would drop to about 35 at worst, shame only 38% max of the cpu was was used.

Smeds says the fix for RoF being tied to fps will be in the next patch.

Until then, it's best to limit your maximum framerate to the following value that is closest to your minimum framerate, rounded down:
VS: 45, 90, 135
TR: 25, 50, 75, 100, 125
NC: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, etc . . .

So if you sometimes drop down to 23 fps but never lower, the only way to make sure you always get the correct rate of fire is to play NC and cap your maximum framerate at 20 fps.

If you never drop below 30 fps, you can play as NC with max framerate locked to 30 fps, or as TR with max framerate locked to 25 fps.

If you never drop below 60 fps, you can play as NC with fps locked to 60 max, TR with 50 fps max, or VS with 45 fps max.

I remember when this topic was an automatic and emphatic AMD + ATI.
