Pre-launch: will items bought by SCs be lost in character wipes?

As it stands right now, every time there's a major addition to the game or change to the XP system, a character wipe occurs that basically forces players to start everything again from scratch.

However, there are people who will already have SCs from Alpha Squad, or have simply bought them as normal. The reason I ask is there is some debate on whether or not December will be when the beta period ends due to the need to fix more bugs. But if it doesn't end and SCs can still be used at that time, this calls into question what happens when another character wipe occurs...

If the beta period does have to continue for longer, does this mean character wipes may erase items purchased using even SCs?!

you can't purchase anything on the shop using SC atm and most likely won't be able to till release.

If anyone loses real money through a character wipe, the shitstorm will be huge. They know that, so it will not happen.

You wont be able to purchase anything at all till the launch date of November 20.

On a side note - do we have any hints as to the SC prices? As you can't view them, I'm worried that it wouldn't be priced like - 5$ for 1 gun...

Hopefully Zero, but probably more than Zero.
